Is there a way to securely store passwords of remote ftp servers on acf2 in encrypted format and then have IBM ftp client retrieve it for authentication while connecting to remote ftp servers. The remote users ids and passwords are currently stored in pds members in clear format and this is being questioned by auditors. CA-Top Secret is being maintaining local mainframe ids.

Why not use the method ALREADY provided for this? NETRC allows access credentials to be stored in a separate data set that can be protected by the security package.
