For recovery purposes on user catalogs, you have to lock it using IDCAMS command: ALTER <USERCAT.NAME> LOCK.

Question is how can you find out that a catalog is locked or not.

I know, I can make use a user without read permission on IGG.CATLOCK, access the catalog with it and see if it hurts, but wouldn't it be nice to have a (idcams) command that will provide me this information.
Anyone come across this?

Kind Regards
Ron

Guess I was hung up too much in idcams commands, and other searches on locked catalogs didn't bring me there. tnx Peter!
