They are having a talent show where I work. I would like to sing this song acapella, to the tune of the Beatle's Yesterday.

Code:
Yesterday, all my abends seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they are here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Suddenly, I'm not half the programmer I used to be
There's a layoff hanging over me.
Oh, the abend came suddenly

Why it had a wild branch, I don't know the dump wouldn't say
The code did something wrong, now I long for yesterday

Yesterday, debugging was such an easy way to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday

Why it had a wild branch, I don't know the dump wouldn't say
The code did something wrong, now I long for yesterday

Yesterday, debugging was such an easy way to play
Now I need a place to hide away
Oh, I believe in yesterday
Mm mm mm mm mm mm mm

I welcome any critic of word choices, new buzzwords that should be used, or any suggestions for additional verses, etc.

Yes, with some computer jargon thrown in. Maybe something about Agile or scrum.

The scrum-master keeps asking for status every day.
I will keep trying until I find a way.

Perhaps a little easier. The "m-m" is a bit of a pig. Perhaps drop the The and the -?

I'm not implying anything by this, Pedro, I think you still have it :-)
