Hi,
I have a query looking for some answers.
We are trying to put a bunch of ( 100's of jobs ) jobs in CA7 in production.
We want to test those jobs in CA7 just the jcl errors and their dependencies but dont want to execute them so that we dont process any production data.
we were thinking of putting typrun=scan but that is not posting the next job in ca7
if we put a typrun=hold it will execute the steps inside the jcl
is there any solution we can try to test the dependencies among all the jobs and also do jclscan on them.
any help will be greatly appreciated. |

Hello,
I all of the jobs have been run successfully standalone, what problem do you have running them thru the scheduler?
If you have datasets that are created in one process and used in an other, I don't see how you can "test" this without running the process to create these datasets . . . |

Hi,
You may try to use COND parameter to bypass all the steps.
COND=(0,LE) in the JOB statement. I'm not CA7 expert but just thought this might work. |

Yes, but no. You have to remove the COND again so you have now changed the run deck so it has to be tested again! |
