Hello ,
I am copying a source TS ( PBG- partition by growth) having 3 partition to a target TS (PBG) having 5 partition , After copy the target TS has 2 extra Partion still existing , How to get rid of the the two extra partition at target after copy .

Carol,
You cannot get rid of them. If you want you can alter MAXPARTITONS to tidy-up.

you can try doing REORG tablespace with SHRLEVEL NONE. not sure if this would remove unused partitions otherwise only solution is unload/drop/create/load. |

Reorg would leave the partition only empty. |
