Hi,
I am an application developer and currently looking to get trained in system programming. Can any one please guide me whether is there any training and any books or docs available for this?
Your guidance will surely help me as i am very much interested to learn this. |

What did you find when you used Google or contacted your local training establishments? Yes. there is training and yes there are docs - possibly only in-house but there may be public stuff which is where Gooogle comes in handy. |

Did you, or any of your colleagues, go to a training institute? If anyone did, have you enquired of those institutes as to whether they have anything remotely resembling what you want. If not, then you will be stuck with reading what you can find and hoping that in a new job they give you sufficient training - they should, after all they are hiring you as a "know-nothing about system programming" person. |

Training institutes will take on anyone and everyone, if they are suitable or not. It doesn't bother them.
Let's face it they get paid by you if you get a sysprog job afterwards, or not.
The safest way is to enquire in house as to the possibilities available. |
