Checkin Service Error Changeman

What is Checkin Service Error in Changeman.

I try staging components to a changeman package, but staging fails due to 'Checkin Service Error'.

Is this because two people are trying to access and stage the components in the same package at the same time. If yes, is there a way to overcome this.

Can you check if your component is LOCKed? If a component is in locked status you need to Unlock Component(line command: UC) to allow for Checkout/Stage.

It's been a while when I worked with Change-Man but next time when you get this error, press PF1 key and it'll give you a rather long explanation about the error.

Second, if your shop is licensed to use Serena Change-Man, all this is explained in manuals - try to get them or use online help from Change-Man menu options.

Found the problem...

SPACE Related issue. Changeman library is used to its max. Ran the Compress job and now it is fine...
