Hi All,

I am not sure what I did but when I use 3.4 (ISPF) to edit/View a PDS member I get the message "Initial edit macro set". Also, when I go into "edit"/"view" mode in the member an "V" appears in the command line and displays "Macro does not exist.

Can anybody please advise me as to how I can go about correcting this
problem and not get the message initial edit macro set"?

Thanks to you all

There are several possible reasons why an initial macro might execute. The most obvious reason is that you have requested an initial macro, either in the Initial Macro field on the View or Edit Entry Panel, or by using the MACRO parameter of the EDIT or VIEW service. If this is the case, you need only update the Initial Macro on the Entry Panel, or update the EDIT or VIEW service parameters.

However, there are other possibilities.

I am also facing the same issue... Anuj, How can we update the Initial Macro on the Entry Panel, or update the EDIT or VIEW service parameters.?

Hello,

Instead of replying on an year old topic, it is advisable to start a new topic.
Though, you can have a look at this link (from the sister forum) for a plausible solution:
