Hi
i have secnario like this:
Input Data:
Merchant ID Date[MM/DD/CCYY]
1234 02/03/2013
1234 01/27/2013
1234 01/10/2013
then i want in the output below record using Syncsort having old date:
1234 01/10/2013
Can you please help on above query.

Look in your manual/here for OUTFIL reporting functions on TRAILER1. Look in your manual for SUM if you are sorting the data. |

Also show a more complete set of input data, which would reveal whether your data is already sorted, or requires sorting.
The fact that your "date" is not useful for comparisons in itself doesn't help. If it was CCYYMMDD, with or without editing characters, it would be much easier. |

Be glad that it has a 4-digit year. |
