1. compuware documentation is available at their website
or at your site.
2. i would venture to guess that you and your comrades are compiling every-other-minute. So,either:- try a recompile, there may have been too many attempts (other compile jobs from co-workers) to add to the ddio and your failed
- contact your support, unfortunately online ddio's are not user friendly, batch - you could even define/create your own ddio, but since the vsam files are owned by CICS, you can not get at them for maintenance

1. Check the Compuware Shared Services User/Reference Guide manual, chapter 9.5.3, where an MVS DDIO return code 48 is listed as meaning
Your question, by the way, is pretty vague -- are you trying to create a listing within an existing DDIO file for an online program, or are you trying to create a brand-new never-before-used DDIO for your online programs?
2. Compuware's copyrighted documentation is available, as mentioned, on their web site and we cannot post it nor a link to it here.
3. Have you used CWSDDUTL (the Compuware DDIO utility) to run a DIRX on the DDIO to verify that it hasn't been clobbered somehow?
4. Last and most important: why are you posting to this forum when you are MUCH more likely to get assistance from the Compuware support site? The vendor knows their software much better and can, probably, precisely tell you what causes the error you are getting as well as how to resolve it -- your chances on this forum are pretty much hit and miss; someone may have seen the error before but maybe nobody has run across it. Compuware has a knowledge base you can search even to see if your issue has occurred before. If your site is licensed for the product, then you have access to the support site and should be using it. |

The most likely cause of this is that you are still have a brekpoint set in CICS for that program and you are attempting to re-compile and generate a new DDIO listing. However, you have that MEMBER IN USE.
Back out of the breakpoint in CICS and try again. |
