A '+1' option to the posts would be good as well. |

a button to point out outstanding/generally useful replies might be OK
not so much a dislike/bash button, it might shortly become a You bashed me/I will bash You kind of war
also the expectation for the moderators to clean up topics is too much, I do that once in a while when an interesting topic is polluted with irrelevant replies
but it is also a lot of work to clean up residual posts from unwanted references
so to make the questions/answer flow logical. |

Marso introduced this a while ago.
I agree that the "dislike" could be abused and would make more work. Even if attempted, what do you do when 20 idiots "dislike" a comment which is correct?
I think the "self-destruct button", for the irresistable sort of comment that isn't really going to stand the test of time in terms of value to the technical content, could work, as the only effort is in develpment/testing (and that all happens by graceful magic) and then in remembering to use it :-)
With the "like" idea, would it be possible to allow "guests" to use it, or something similar, as well as those who a registered? I realise there may be other technical issues arguing against this (non-registered allowed updates) and that it would also open up the possibility of "liking yourself", but it would be nice to see the possibility of some feedback from the "silent majority". |

No No certain things its under Moderators hands to control things
So that somereplies might be misguiding ( Definitely not to wise people )
They definitely know what needs to be deleted and what not
May be If moderators are busy may be a selected a seniour member should have the control to delete certain things . Ofcours experts definitely have a wise idea |

IMHO
the like button should be used by knowledgeable people to really point out USEFUL replies,
( otherwise it might make the forum look like the stupid Yahoo Answers)
which sometimes are lost when searching ...
( and a moderator should be able to delete the like flag/counter when a reply is blatantly wrong ) |

Like Bill pointed out its an Fb stupidest flaw liking my own post and making it famous
yes I find what you have said is very Wiser like Moderatos should only have the likes and dislikes access so it would like a feedback for upcoming developers (Like me For an example ) who is keen to know others problems and try to help them with petite knowledge
So guys like me can correct and learn from other mistakes and from mine too |
