I'll see that and raise you one: Add a "waiting for response" flag. If a user gets a few of those, then block their access until they answer. |

At a wild guess I'd say that this site is based on a "package" for "bulletin boards". I'd even guess that the package is called "phpBB".
This would mean, if true, that there are some things customisable, and some things not.
Before we come up with a wishlist, how about finding out what is possible for customisation? Not only the within the software, but also the availability of Mr M's good people. |

EDIT: Duplicate post from a "refresh" in error. Can readily be bulletted by a gracious moderator. |

Now come on Bill, we're USERS here! That means we can ask for anything at all without worrying about if it's feasible, let alone possible.
Save all that technical detail for the programmers. After all, the sales guy already said you would do it. |

Ed, haven't you ever presented a user with an itemised "pre-billl" (and yes, I know all those jokes. Well, maybe all) for some of the more outlandish requests?
"Outlandish" (nothing to do with Sean Connery) includes the "simple" things which become prohibitively expensive (money or resources) due to the limitations of the existing system.
I'm just saying, since we are users, but with some knowledge of what it is like "over the hill", that if we knew what resource, if anything, were available we might be able to.... well, use it, of course. |

And also people should realise "Experts" are generous enough to help our technical problem so we should reciprocate to others in need rather being "selfish" cause i see Dick keep asking people to post solution many dont respond back so a flag by moderators will be pretty good which will educate people including me and co users |

Hehe, Outland, good times.
That may be the only movie where Sean Connery actually acts scared. |

Why dont we have some rules like warn members once they dont post the solution they had arrived after getting the tips from experts. |
I don't like this idea. It is a waste of my time to review a thread just to see messages like "Thank you." or "Yes, that worked." I'm sure that everyone who posts a question is appreciative of the answers; there is no need for this type of reply. Instead, we should ask members to limit their responses to answers they know to be correct, rather than "I know nothing about the subject matter, but have your tried ...?" I find this type of response to be irritating rather than helpful. I limit my posts to the forums in which I claim expertise (from 30 years of experience with Software AG products).
ps I suggest that the Natural & MQSeries forum be split in two. These products are rarely found in the same shop, let alone have anything in common. And I have neither experience nor interest in MQ Series. |
