Hi,
I am editing a dataset using File-Aid Edit Option.
I entered the details of dataset, copybooks and other details in edit screen and pressed enter, I am getting message 'OPEN ERROR' on the top right corner. When pressed F1 button, I am getting the message
'ER048-Open error 0213-C8 was encountered on ILK3345.DSCKB13.AVCID.PKSHIST'

Please advice

Thanks & Regards,
Ganna

Hello,

Advise you to read about the s213 abend in the manual.

Then read about the associated IEC143I message.

At the top of the page is a link to "IBM Manuals' First look at the z/OS System Codes manual for the 213. Then, read the z/OS System Messages Vol VII for the details of the IEC!$#I.

If you intend to mak a career of mainframe IT, you must become familiar with the manuals that explain these problems.
