My best guess is that whoever did the Compuware Shared Services or Xpediter installation at your site missed one or more of the steps. Contact your site support group for assistance; they can rerun the installation procedure and hopefully find what was missed.
The Compuware Shared Services Installation and Customization Guide manual also contains a batch job that can be used to create a DDIO. |

This might and just might help - start by copy an existing DDIO file to another file, delete all the members of it and use it as your DDIO. |

in ISPF options 3.2.V do a listcat of an existing DDIO file.
use the output as a basis
for a define vsam - also part of the 3.2.V option. |

normally scan timed out has more to do with the return of a submit command, which xpeditor does under the covers to verify the jcl.
it could be you site does not want you to 'convert compile jcl'
and has its own process in place.
suggest you talk to your site support.
has nothing to do with the ddio file. |

Look for the place in the panels where you set up the job card. I'd bet it doesn't have your name on it. I got bit by that once...many years ago.
The job would submit with another userid, then the panel would wait until it could read the output, which it couldn't. |
