yes,
it mainly depent on companies, some may use frontend like Java script like...
there is one tool called SDF(screen defnition facility) supplied by IBM, which directly create maps, we no need to code any macros here...

SDF(screen defnition facility) is option under ISPF menu (this is installation dependent - just like XPEDITOR or CHGMAN)

A general remark
the fact that some options are visible in the ISPF menus DOES NOT mean that the relative
components are available
SDF, XPEDITOR CHGMAN are not part of the base environment are products they
must be separately acquired
in ISPF primary panel otion 4 and 9 there are entries for products
not generally available |
