Is there an API available for IDMS ADSO (dialogs) to communicate to MQseries?
i.e. a dialog would submit command MQput and MQget commands |

Not that I am aware of. In my previous project we used IDMS-DC instead of dialogs to communicate with MQ-COBOL layers. Please check out for the manuals. |

Nope. ADSO is not compatible with the MQ Series. In other words, ADSO can not communicate with the outside world like MQ Series. This is one of ADSO's disadvantage. Alternatively, we can use CICS-IDMS (batch) program to do that. This is not a real CICS program, it is just to establish
CICS environment to communicate with outside world like MQ Series from an IDMS world. |

Its possible to use a 3rd party adapter to connect to MQ from ADSO dialogs using DC cobol pgms. |

I'm not that familiar with ADSO. However, there is a new product from
HostBridge Technology that permits writing COBOL BATCH progams that
can communicate with any CICS resource (tdq's, tsq's, programs, files, transactions, etc.) |
