Problem related to isolation level.

hi

I have a confusion on the Isolation level.

1) In an isolation level do we take locks on Row level or on page level.
2) In db2 who determine the lock SIZE.

3)In CS if Job1 is accessing 10th row then is my row is locked on that page or My page will be locked.

If my row is locked then can some other job update any other row on the same page at the same time when Job 1 is updating 10th Row.

Could someone please help me with these.

you are mixing two things :

Isolation level : which determines when and how long a lock is taken.
locksize : which determines the granularity of the lock : table/page/row
they have no influence on eachother.

Now go read up on those things. it is all pretty well explained in the manuals.
