i want to know how to edit the prticular field of records although there
are thousand field mentioned in that copy book of mine (the copy book which i am mentioning in the browse mode . so if want to edit only the particular field of that copy book through the edit main menu option of file aid in an empty local file . Then which and screen shots i have to choose of file aid and suppose that in browse mode also i want to browse the records with record with particular selected field only then what i have to do .if you guy can explain with that of screen shots then it will help out many guys in the interview. |

Hey...
I cudnt get what you are trying to say.. U man u want to edit a particular field in the Huge file by opening it in 3.4 or some ISPF options??
Or .pls explain clearly |

in the browse main menu option of file aid tools you are specifying the browsing data set name with again and in the next part you are mentioning the copy book laod module dataset name before that of xinverse dataset name .so what i am asking you is that through file aid tool if want to select the particular field of records of that copy book into that of empty file for that of testing purpose then waht we have to do . i know that by that sort utility of dfsort you can select the particular field of records for browsing purpose .but the same thing how you are going to do it with that of edit main menu option of the file aid |
