Hi,
Could anyone please urgently specify the difference between the 'MOVE' and 'TRANSFER' option in endevor?
When would one use MOVE and when would one use TRANSFER?
Thanx. |

Hi,
Move is used for moving one element to next level.
Transfer is used for transforing one element from one stage to higher stage
Let consider following Endevor stages.
Stage I - 1 rd stage
Stage J - 2 rd stage
stage P - 3 rd stage
Stage V - 4 rd stage
Moving I Stage to J is called as Move
Moving I Satge to P is called as Transfer.
Hope I answered ur questions |

Hi,
I would like to add somethig to what Hari has mentioned,
In transfer of an element the compilation takes place and hence a new executable is created whereas the MOVE does not include any compilation
and the movement of element/executable (physical) takes place.
Also taking an element to higher logical region typically requires MOVE.
(example packaging of elements).
All suggestions are welcome.
regards,
David. |
