I tried to print file content in formatted form using print menu (option 5 in FileAid menu), but FileAid ignored all "redefines" statements. Just values of first variables were printed, no single redefined variable appeared in the output. Finally I used FPRINT command and I received expected output. But I don't understand why I couldn't get the same output using Print menu. Did I miss something? Do FPRINT and Print option have different functionality?

Printing of redefinitions is not supported when running FPRINT in Batch (which is executed from Print option 5) However, as you noticed, you do have the ability to see redefinitions while using the FPRINT command thru the ISPF panel.

From the Compuware Fileaid/MVS Batch reference manual Release 9.1.
Page 4-25:

"The FPRINT function does not list redefinitions."
