Hi
I'm sure someone in the forum will be able to help. I'm looking for a manual or any means that will take me beyond normal sql. I want to see what happens when an SQL command is resolved. I want to know what gets executed first, how, when and where does the sort takes place if necessary.
I want to see step by step what happens when an SQL query, from the simplest one-liner to the most complex query with triple joins, subqueries, unions and whatever else you might throw in there gets executed. I want to get down and dirty with SQL for DB2 on a z/OS mainframe. Can anyone please point me in the right direction. You just have to point, that's all. I'll do all the legwork required. |

Hello,
If you can find some "db2 tuning" material, you should find some of what you are looking for. |
