Hello,
They were not deleted - they were moved to Off Topics as they are not related to database (even though they issue sql statements). |

I don't want to speak for Dick, but maybe a better way of phrasing Dick's reply would have been, "They are not related to the vast majority of business-related problems that are typically encountered on a mainframe". After all, in my 30+ years of programming on a mainframe and 20+ years of dealing with DB2, I have never been asked to write or modify a Sudoku solution. The name of this bulletin board is, after all, MAINFRAME FORUM. |

Thank you Dick !
I found my topics safety.
Everybody who interesting how plain DB2 code can solve any SUDOKU,
including MegaSudoku welcome to
ibmmainframes.com/viewtopic.php?t=44084
You can easily transform code from DB2 to MySQL, Oracle, etc. |

Thank you, Terry, for your explanation. I couldn't guess.
This code is not a business related, you are absolutely right.
I am 100% agree with you.
Thanks, again ! |

They aren't related to any database, actually. . . You happen to execute your code via db2 sql, but there is nothing that most professionals would consider "database" in the code.
There is neither a question about some data requirement nor a solution to someone's topic about their business requirement in these posts. There is no info about any data design consideration, performance measurement criteria, business solution, abend resolution, (and the list could be quite a lot longer) that would address any of the thousands of topics looking for replies.
Some wanted to discard these topics. . . Some of us thought they might be useful to a few people and so they have been moved to Off Topics. |
