Hi,
I've a query.
Currently a report being generated from IMS DC screen and outputted using a network Dot Matrix Printer.
Now I need to change the Printer to a network Laser Printer. (not physically)
I wanted to know
how the outputs sent to a Printer from IMS screen???
Is there any IP address of the printer mapped to the IMS DC programs???
How can I make the above change ( any code change) ??
Thanks in advance |

Hello and welcome to the forum,
Suggest you talk with the network support people and your ims support. Network configuration is site-specific. |

Thanks dick.
But as per the below link.
ibmmainframes.com/viewtopic.php?p=99499&highlight=printer#99499
The printer should be connected to the IMS DC program in some way.
May be thru ALT-PCB.
I think there should be some node registration and should be linked to the Ims program thru ALT-PCB - not sure.
If i change the printer do i need to make any changes in the ims program?? |

You're welcome
I'm not sure either which is why i suggested you talk with both your network and ims support people.
Precisely what is needed is site-specific to your environment and these people will know what is needed. |
