When I give SJ from spool, I can view the JCL. From which dataset the JCL is invoked? |

The JCL what you submitted will be shown. I guess you can't find out from which dataset, the JCL has been submitted. |

I can't think of anywhere that the DSN from which a job was submitted is recorded, so purely from the operating system there's no way to tell. If you're using a scheduling package like CA-7, you can determine the source of the job by reviewing the scheduling package information about the job. |

Hi,
some of the scheduling packages I have used actually add a couple of lines to the submitted JCL and include where the JCL was submitted from as well as the location of where the the job was scheduled from etc.

Methinks that the OP wants to know from where JES gets the displayed JCL when SJ is entered against the output. |

Me too. . .
SJ gets the submitted jcl from jes - it is not in some easily referenced external pds or ps dataset as far as i know. . .
A bit of clarification from OP would be helpful |
