the best thing would be to ask Your peers for Your organizations standards
anything we might suggest could be , even if technically correct, wrong by your organization standards and practices
remember ....
replying is on voluntary bases, on the responders time,
You do not pay for it, so You do not have the right to set priorities |

Thanks for the advice,
but still i want some technical knowledge about the topic.
Secondaly, i think you had taken me wrong, that priority is for me not for the responders and i had not SET the priority , that was juat a request.
Looking forward some stuff which can give me some knowledge.

Hello,
Implementing checkpoint/restart/recovery is not something that is done in a hurry. It is also not (or should not be) done for only one thing. This is a much larger issue and should be addressed across the entire ims database environment. Hopefully, this is already in place and you will incorporate your requirement into the existing checkpoint/restart/recovery method.
This is also not a task for someone who is "new to ims". . . It is unlikey that you will discover a proper way to do this "overnight". What might result is something that "runs" but does not really work. Possibly the only thing worse than not having recoverability is believing there is recoverability when there is not |

Hello,
One good starting point is your organization - the seniors and your dba. |

If one is "willing to learn" there should be no sense of

You're welcome
Once you have more of an understanding and have any more specific questions, post them here and someone should be able to clarify. |

Actually everyone understands your situation - but to say something as high priority on a public board would make you face some rent, replies on such boards, as said earlier, are on voluntary bases; everyone has got his bit of work & they reply with their own time. If something is so important you need to get in touch with the co-workers or start with some similar program at your shop and post us back with what you've done so far & where are stuck up...
Good Luck.. .
