If you have made any changes and you want to undo it you can do it by pressing Shift + Page Down.

Amsar,
what key stroke is being sent to the mainframe from your emulator when you do 'Shift / Page-down'?
my emulator sends this for 'Shift / Page-down' looks like a semi-colon ; with a bar over the top.
this allows me to =x(shift/page-down)logoff.
the attn key will remove the last changes to the screen that have not been 'entered'.
there is nothing that will back-out the last changes except an UNDO supported by recovery-on. |

Hello,

There would not be unless this was mapped to something that was a 3270 interrupt key.

Shift+PageDown is a pc concept. How is this mapped in your emulator? |

But whenever i will press Shift+ Page Down my last changes on the screen will undo.

Some emulators have an icon named Keyboard at the top of the screen where you can see what function is invoked by what key. For instance, the Enter key is usually mapped to the Enter function, the right Ctrl key is usually mapped to the New Line function, Esc is mapped to Interrupt, Page Up to PA1, Page Down to PA2, etc. This screen also allows you to map the functions to whatever key sequence you prefer. Some folks like to map the Enter function to the right Ctrl key and the New Line function to the Enter key. More examples: Shift + F1 is mapped to F13, Shift + F2 to F14, etc. |

Hi Amsar,
Another way to see your key map (on some emulators) is to look at the commands at the top of the window (i.e. File, etc). Often there is a "Tools" and within Tools, is Key Mapping. If your emulator works this way, you should be able to see (and usually change) your key mapping.
One set of the keymap is the local pc key (or combination) and the other is what 3270 key this invokes.
Which 3270 emulator are you using? Someone who uses that emulator may be able to provide something more specific to work with your key mapping. |

Hello,
Is this Attachmate Extra? It may be under Settings rather than Tools. Unfortunately i no longer have a complete inventory of terminal emulators. . .
You might also bring up the Help system for the product and look for key mapping. |

Hi Amsar,
This is also a pc sequence. . . When entered, what 3270 key is presented to the mainframe? |

I used Attachmate Extra at my previous site and there was an icon at the top of the screen labeled Keyboard. Are you sure you don't see that on your screen? |

Hello,
Suggest you talk with your desktop/emulator support people or the maniframe support for vtam and determine what is being sent to the mainframe.
Once we understand what is really happening, we may have suggestions, but i believe the "search for truth" is on that system |
