This is quite doubtful, but i'll believe it if you insist. . . Very, very few people have "all the credentials " on a mainframe.

Which dos? The command prompt on a pc? DOS/VSE? Please clarify.
If you have access to mainframe batch tso, you could "SEND" a message to a user - this would only work well if that user was online at the time.

Well, congratulations - I have been working with the mainframes for over 30 years and probably know about 10% of it, if that.

when I mentioned Credentails. I never meant my credentails.. i meant to say the details to establish authenticity... to the M/F... I apologize if this lead to a confusion..
How ever... I was looking for DOS(o/s) .bat( batch) to send a message to mainframe....
