I had a thought this morning of all the funny and weird ways the people in IT used to relieve boredom or tedium while on the job.
A few I remember:
- After hours, one of the Help Desk/Telecom techs used to dial-up to one of those '1-900' sex lines and then put the entire conversation out over the intercom.
- We had two of those power pallet jacks for the stockroom. We used to have races with them up and down the hallways outside of the Data Center.
