Dennis,
Doubts have been answered.
1. Can't change the JOBCLASS when the job is running.
Quote: |
change JOBCLASS only before execution begins |
Are you talking about the INPUT (I) QUEUE in SDSF.
2.Informational Purpose
Quote: |
change MSGCLASS (sysout class of output on spool) only after execution completes |
Only after the execution completes, what are the things that can be done.
3.
Quote: |
Change WLM service class during execution to adjust performance |
Performance of the JOBs running or MAINFRAME. In WLM, the limit of a particular class CPU time can it be changed. |

1. Yes, I mean change JOBCLASS on SDSF Input Queue display.
2. The Output and HeldQ displays allow for changing CLASS of the spooled output.
3. The WLM performance characteristics of a job are different from the maximum CPU time limitations that may be imposed on jobs in a certain JOBCLASS. The CPU time maximum limit per step set by the JES JOBCLASS cannot be changed or overridden. How often your job gets to use the CPU (priority) is based on WLM service policies. An executing job may be assigned to a higher performing service class. if you're allowed. |
