Hi friends,
I need to checkout a component from a package in changeman, but the package is in frozen state.I am not able to do it.

| If you are trying to CHECKOUT into a FROZEN package then talk to your CHGMAN support and revert the package. If you have authorization to revert then revert the package and then checkout |

Hi Devzee,
I think You overlooked the query, TS wants to check out a component in another package from a Frozen Package.
Back to thread...
- If the component is 'already' in production then You can chekout the component from 'Base Libraries'
- but if it's a newly introuduced component for 'this specific' release then You can still 'browse' the components from the Frozen Package. And here comes legendry copy-paste option of Microsoft in picture..You can use copy-apend option of ISPF to aid copy option.
- or open the package PDS in 3.4 (PDS of type CHGMAN.GMS%.#%%%%%.**) copy/cut from there. |
