Queries regarding the Usage of COMP/COMP-3

Hi All,

COMP/COMP-3 is used for efficient storage purposes only. But from programming logic perspective do we have any significance to COMP/COMP-3 ? i.e does usage of variables in programs get anyway affected by making the variables COMP/COMP-3.
