We have simulators. But I don't recommend buying the CD Pack for the simulators since you can download the same for free.

Hi Mac,

I am not looking only for simulators. My intension is once I am back from office and weekends, I want to write some programs and jcls to improve my skills which I am not authorized to do at work.

For that I am asking is there simulators (JCL, COBOL & etc) available with this pack.

Assume that I am a Mainframe student along with manuals I need to practice at my home by own.

Suggest me, Is this CD pack helpful to me?

I recommend you to join a training institute for the basics than self-learning.

Not now, may be next year.

You can contact Rajesh thru sales at mainframesindia dot com. Vista OS is not officially supported as per mainframesindia.com. But most of our Training materials in the CD Pack will run in Vista except our Abend Assist.

Mainframe Simulator is something that executes your program on the PC simulating a mainframe environment.

Mainframe Emulator is a PC software that emulates the facilties of a mainframe .

You can have a look here as well.

Hello,

I guess it was easier to post this rather than look at the previous replies. . . This has already been asked and answered. . .

Suggest you do so now.

I read you give access to mainframes online with some User ID. But my question is how long access will be active and if required can we extend the access by paying some amount?
