Go to File-Aid option and open the dataset in edit mode. You can select the char option on 'Edit - Dataset Specification' screen. The disposition of dataset will be old. For more info, you can refer the file-aid manuals on this site. |

Hi,
I updated key filed of the vasm file by using the repeat line command then I used preserve command to save the key filed but it wouldn't work !
Is it correct or is there any way to save the key?
Thanks in advance

Hi Ashok,
It's a KSDS and I succeed to save .The way to save Key record is once you update the records then you have to place it according to KEY-SEQ after that issue the line command PROTECT 99. This command would protect key fields and save it.
It worked fine.
Thanks
