Hi everybody,
The installation that I work at is planning to implement the scheduler Tivoli Workload Scheduler OPC.
I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations or best practices around implementing the same. I am specifically looking at how to schedule jobs effeciently and also to make changes to schedule in an easy and safe manner.
The scheduling requirements are complex because the site processing data for different locations and the scheduling requirements are different for most locations even holidays/free days are different.
Hoping for a response and direction.
Regards,
Neil |

Unfortunately, scheduling requirements are pretty much site specific, and as you mentioned, various clients have different holiday schedules. |

Even a basic Dos & Dont's document would be very helpful where I stand. |

What do you mean "how to schedule jobs effeciently"? If you expect to reduce path length of schedule flow, unfortunately normally legacy scheduler does not support step-level triggering for workload pipelining. In Indonesia there was such requirement and no legacy schedulers were complied.
If it is really required, you can consider zJOS as an alternative. Let me know personally if you need further discussion on it. |
