Why INCLUDE for DCLGEN and not COPY statement

why should we include DCLGEN and SQLCA and not copy them like CICS maps. Why should the syntax be exec SQL Include DECLGEN End-Exec?

hai sowmya, precompiler doesnt expand ur copy books as it is the case in compiler that is igywclg and also if you include ur dclgen then it will be very easy to check the table format by the precompiler at binding time itself.
