hi friends,
some times unknowingly if i press f2 function key(split screen) then another screen is opening i don't know how close the extra screen

press F3 or =X command on the command line of the screen which you want to close |

Place the cursor on MENU(at the top of screen) and press F2. It will close the extra screen. |

Hi,
If you dont use much F2 do remove this option using KEYS command. |

Really ? Are you sure it doesn't just reposition the second screen.
What's wrong with split screens, I usually have 8 going in one TSO session. |

I too use split screens, but I prefer to open them with start:
"START S.ST" for example. |
