load data from flat unsorted file to VSAM file using REPRO

I want to load the data from flat file to VSAM file using REPRO comand. Is it nesssary that the flat file is sorted or not?

Yeah, Flat File is to be sorted before.

Can anyone please explain what exactly is the "Repro" cmd and for wht it is used.
This would be very helpful for beginners like me

The same information should be available in TSO by entering TSO HELP REPRO.
