Hello,
What do you mean by "top 10"?
What are you really looking for?
If you provide more information about what you want to know, we can post better replies. |

Hi,
This is depend upon yourself and what skillsets your are having and which domain you interest.
But i suggest if you need altypes of knowledge to learn try with some prodect oriented companys not client oriented
Healthcare - Wipro is unbeatable.(Cardinal,pedigree)
Banking - HSBC,IBM,ACCENTURE
Insurence - SATYAM,PATNI,IBM
Admin&production support - IBM,CSC,SATYAM |

What makes you think MNCs like HSBC, FIDELITY, DETUSCHE BANK, VERIZON and CITI BANK does not own a mainframe?
Infact each of them would be owning atleast three. |

Where did you find such a reference? You desparately need a new information source.
There are simply thousands of mainframes "out there". Over the years i've supported over 200 and the only place that i've been that you name is IBM.
It may be, due to the way you have presented your post, we have misunderstood. If so, you might clarify. |

Hello Parag,
Like they say in the movies, "if i tell ya, i'll have to shoot ya"
Actually, i've signed various non-disclosure agreements that include not naming clients.
I can mention that i've provided support for several paper and wood products companies, a few insurance companies, a few banks, some printing/publishing companies, a couple of utility companies, a few state government agencies, several federal agencies, a few software vendors, and a variety of other manufacturing and services companies. Often, i'm working with multiple clients as i'm on the road and have the extra time.
The forums have been a nice break from heads-down work Back when the universities had a formal program for mainframes, i spent time there, but few (if any) are offering the type and quality of education they did previously. |
