Is the CPU time consumed if we do the following activities
1) By logging in to the Mainframes and remaining idle, if so any idea of how many secs
2) For Opening and Browsing Source Code, if so any idea of how many secs

Any info is appreciated.

It is dependant on the timeout value that you give under communication set up.

I logged into TSO and ISPF on one system 6 hours ago, and haven't even looked at it since. My session accumulated 4.46 seconds of CPU time in that 6 hours sitting idle. HTH.
Your second question is strictly "it depends". What are you browsing, how many different files are you browsing, how often did you hit enter or forward, and so on and so on.

Cheers,,,Steve
