Hi,

I am a beginner in MAINFRAMES. I would like to know what are the things I should be knowing in TSO and ISPF from interviews point of view and working point of view.

You should be familiar with what TSO is and how it works, and most of the basic TSO commands, including:

ALLOCATE
DELETE
REPRO
ALTER
ALTLIB
CALL
DEFINE
EDIT
EXEC
FREE
FTP
LISTA
LISTB
LISTCAT
LISTDS
OUTPUT
PRINT
PRINTDS
RENAME
STATUS
SUBMIT

You might also want to prove that you know the basics of how to automate TSO commands using both CLIST and TSO/E REXX.

As far as ISPF, you should be able to demonstrate how to browse a dataset, how to view a dataset (and what the difference is between those two), how to edit a dataset, and how to allocate/delete/copy datasets. You should know the basic edit line commands (insert, delete, copy, shift, text flow, split, bounds, tabs, etc.) and the basic edit primary commands (find, change, exclude, sort, cut, paste, copy, etc.).

As Superk rightly said you need to be familiar with all these commands.
Also you can go for Mvs Tso Part 1 & Part 2 by Doug Lowe. Regards to interview, you can find questions posted in the Mainframe-Basic section on this site.
