| I would like to compare 2 files with record length of 14000.Can it be done through file aid and whether 3.13 can be used? |

Hello,
Yes, you can compare files with a length greater than 80.
As far as 14000 - i've not tried that ("3.13" says there is no limit). If 3.13 will go that high, i imagine that File-Aid will also. There should be no big penalty for trying it on your system.

| But in the output of 3.13 you cannot see more than 80 bytes of the record.How can we see the whole record? |

Hello,
3.13 will tell you which line(s) do not match - you will have to "roll your own" to see the actual data. File-aid will show the difference and what positions in the record it occurs. |
