Getting Abend S837 While submitting JCL

The error occurred during end-of-volume for a sequential data set.

Dear All,

I got this information from Error Code Descriptor version 1.o

SB37 - Caused by lack of sufficient secondary space

SE37 - Caused by lack of space for PDS

S837 is not listed in the Error Code Descriptor.

But I found S837 in the page www.geocities.com/*****/abends.html#1

S837 - Space problem, Alloted space is not enough for data set

Here SB37 is not listed. Please tell me which is right. What is the actual difference between these error codes.

I don't know how to search for a particular topic in a IBM Library. So I got this link in Google. Somebody please tell me How to use IBM library.

Hi Rupesh,

Search your JESYSMSG with the string 'IEC028I'. This must give the message related to the error code.

S837 is a Tape volume error occuring only for tape dayasets.At end of tape volume
SB37 is a secomdary storage spae erroe which occurs for non tape datasets probably DASD datasets
