Review the information provided in the "z/OS V1R6.0 TSO/E Customization" guide, Appendix 1.1:

Hi,
Simple cobol program,
compile is option 4.2 & link option 4.7 then run in option 6(tso).
If the program is DB2 then through IKJEFT01 only for run & compile is in DB2
Option 3 is program preparation.
Option 5 is bind ???.
Go through see it.
