Any good write up for understanding Abend-Aid dump for both batch and online is needed. And also how to preapre the program listing with right options in compiler which will help locating the error source line with the the help Abend-Aid dump is needed.  |

Well, what did you you expect? The link is was posted almost 17 years ago!
The other piece is the query is really too open ended for these forums. These forums are intended for relatively simple one point queries. You are really making multiple queries here.
- How can I use Abend-aid for batch?
- How can I use Abend aid for online? (which online environment? CICS? IMS DC? line mode TSO? TSO/ISPF?)
- How do I setup a compile/link environment to exploit Abend-aid? Cobol? Which Cobol?
You have a better chance of getting a response you can use if you can be as specific as possible.
By the way, I have to leave this thread. It has been more than 20 years since I've been afflicted with Abend-aid in any environment. I'm certain the Abend-aid of the 1990s is different than the Abend-aid in 2020! Even then my main concern was getting Abend-aid out of the way! |
