Updating the IMS records

Hi all!

one of my job doing update the IMS database, the total record is 3500, the job got abend after updating some of the records, how to restart to update the record, which got updated last, any log is there?pleas let me clear my doubt , how to use restart and check point concept over here

hi Ramya,

you will be having CHKPT parameter in the STEP where you perform the update(the step where you executer DFSRRC00). you specify CHKPT=LAST and the job will be restarted from the last check point. this i think, will require that you handle CHKP and XRST calls in your pgm.
