hi,
i think you've posted this query in the wrong forum. this needs to be moved to JCL forum.
even the, you can submit the job of others from your own mainframe id. (i think this is what you mean). make sure you are specifying the NOTIFY parameter correctly. this is needed so that any one else did not receive notification for the job submitted by you.
suggestions welcomed,.

Hi Nandini,
Can you please give some more details of your query.
If your question is whether we can submit other's job with your id. Sure you can. But you need to change the job name to reflect your id. If you point NOTIFY parameter to your id or &SYSUID, then you will get a message(notification) once the job is completed. If the NOTIFY parameter points to another user's id, then he/she would get a message on completion of the job
Please let me know if I'm not clear or in case you have any questions
Thanks

If u submit a JCL with someone else's userID it will be in his spool with a JCL Error. The job wont be executed. U can submit any job after changing the job ID to ur ID.. |

Hi,
As long as the job card is having your id account information ..you can submit the job that u copied from other's.
One more way is using the user id and password that has got sufficient access to submit the job using the account information provided on the job card...This can be achieved using USERNAME=userid, PASSWORD=xxxxx on the job card ..and make sure that NOTIFY points to ur id..
Pls let me know if i miss any thing ..
Thanks and Regards
