Why do you want to do a security breach and invite possible trouble if it's blocked?

Hello,

Suggest you abandon your attempts.

The sites are blocked because your management wants this - most likely because management knows these sites would not be used for "company business".

Many organizations will not tolerate employees trying to get around the rules.

If you believe there is a valid business reason to be able to go to blocked sites, speak with your manager and learn if there is a way to get permission.

A word of caution, even if u attempt to work around and get to sites like gmail via tunnels or proxies, then there is a risk of ur personal information being compromised.

Most of the tunnels capture user information as it is sent thru it.
Beware. 824.gif

what kind of horse manure is that...
the ts wants to access blocked sites from his work place
and he will not compromise his personal info, but his employer info ( even worse )

he can break rules ( parental controls ) on his home pc

doing it from the employer equipment is usually cause for immediate lawful termination

You simply forgot the EMPLOYER related stuff

Your advice might stand for personal use, is completely inappropriate for the workplace environment

that' what I was criticizing, not the advice itself !

and that' something I want to pass to all replying here ( but with little success )

everybody is just concerned with the pure technical aspect of things ...
and with giving a reply to make the TS happy...

- what command has to be issued
- what sequence of instructions to use
- how to do something even if it improper/unwise/<stupid>

and even if the answers are technically correct,
they lack the good sense of trying to understand the work environment and <rules> ...

good practices
organization standards
organization rules
employee/employer relation
... and many more

that' s why often I reply in a rude way, to make people aware of other aspect of the issue being discussed !
