am new to mainframes technologies can anyone tell me about SCL i mean what is the purpose of it, and what it describes . |

As far as I know, The SCL generated are simple statements that say what exactly has been done.
If for instance, you moved an element from one region of Endevor to other ,
the SCL will look something like this:
ELEMENT OPROG876 MOVED FROM TEST TO HOLD |

SCL is a GREAT Endevor feature.
If you do certain Endevor tasks often, or have a common task across many related elements, you can let Endevor generate the SCL for the task one time, then modify it however you with for all elements, and then batch submit it whenever you need.
You have now avoided repeatedly traipsing down a potentially long element list selecting elements, etc. |
