An Application process is said to TIMEOUT when it is terminated cause it has been suspended beyond a preset interval.
COMMIT and ROLLBACK operations do not timeout. My question is will there ever be situation where a COMMIT or a ROLLBACK operation will be waiting ? Suspended ? I was of the idea that these two operations never wait ...its executed immediately.
Hope someone can correct me if I am wrong
Thank you. |

Most unlikely.
It is even less likely that this is the cause of your newly encountered "long time between commit" problem. |
