Hi
In our environment we do have a Websphere Messgae Broker acts as an ESB. when a task comes to the Broker specific transaction starts in CICS.
On the other hand, there is a timeout parameter sets at CICSRequest Node in the Broker. when in some situations this timeout is hitted its thread in broker will be canceled but related transaction in CICS will be remained.
We are looking for a way to purge transaction in CICS after particular time. We used Runaway, Spurge=Yes, Dtimout, Tpurge=Yes... --> TRANSACTIONS STILL REMAIN RUNNING after all of these changes!
I will be happy if you clarify that there is NO way in CICS to purge transactions automatically(timeout+rollback) after certain time and it will be purged for specific situations only.

Yes. SPURGE, TPURGE, DTIMEOUT are TRANSACTION attributes. But it never rollback running transaction after the time specified in DTIMEOUT. |
